Hello, my name is Mr. Morrone and this is my fifth year as a Physical Education, and Health Teacher at Memorial School. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at Central Connecticut State University. In addition to this degree, I am also endorsed to teach Health Education. I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Physical Education at Central Connecticut State University.
This year there will be many learning experiences for your children. Some of the units that will be covered in physical education include fitness, gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis and cooperative games. The core ethical values will be instilled during each of these units.
During health class, many different topics will be introduced. The students will learn about the different body systems and their functions. They will also learn the importance of combining physical activity with healthy food choices. This will allow them to recognize this combination can lead to a healthy lifestyle.
I am also the intramural and field day coordinator.
