Our Home Reading Log has changed to reflect what will be expected at Strong School next year.  The students must record pages read each night.  Our goal is to earn a 3.  Students received the new log today.

I am finally updating this!  We made it through CMT's!  Great job!  We are wrapping up an author study on Karen Hesse, focusing on theme.  In math we will be reviewing fractions and learning to divide them.  We will move on to circles soon.  In SS we have completed our Canada study and are going to do a short unit on government and regions of the world.  Ecosystems are the focus in science, especially as we visit the vernal pools.  Writing has been fun as we continue to play with figurative language such as Tom Swifities and idioms.  We are currently working on our 2nd speech of the year, to be shared before vacation.

Field trip notes; 3/25 Vernal pools; 3/27 Naugatuck; 5/19 Eli Whitney Museum with our Naugatuck friends.
